The Marine Hotel
W e created the website for The Marine Hotel with the aim to make it different from the hotels in the surrounding area. Rather than focus on the hotel itself, we drew attention to the fabulous surrounding area.
We used a 3D slideshow banner showcasing different aspects of the hotel and also the surrounding area of Mallaig. The entire site is built on a Content Management System version of Wordpress that we stripped down and rebuilt.
As a final part of the site, we integrated a booking manager so that the hotel would be able to receive bookings and take payments from customers before arrival.
What was asked for
1We were tasked with creating a brand new website for the Marine Hotel which had just recently changed owners.
The site owners needed the facility to log in and update the website itself with offers and they needed to be able to take online bookings.
What was delivered
2We stripped down the standard version of Wordpress and rebuilt it to be a custom content management system so that the owners of the marine would be able to log in via a back end system and update their site.
We implemented a custom booking system with the help of book assist to take online bookings and allow customers to pay in advance.
The Marine Hotel has come on leaps and bounds since it's official launch and is now receiving hundreds of unique hits per day.
